Celestial Edge
by Hos Solo
Intro/Chorus:
Celestial Edge of the night, the call it Skyrim,
Dragon filled Whiterun with fright, I’m gunna find him,
Daedric on my back, attack, it’s time to slay him,
Dragon borne slayer comin at cha like a Thunderstorm.
Verse 1:
I woke up in a carriage with some guy named Ulfric Stormcloak,
Didn’t know why, but I was gunna die with one stroke,
before it happened, a blast of fire came down on us,
A dragon had blackened the houses right in front of us!
Shortly after I’m grindin to get my one hand up,
To raise my sneak technique, no eye before I stand up,
I’m creepin and seekin loot, and then I realize,
Skyrim might the place I’m gunna die! Oh my!
Chorus:
Celestial Edge of the night, the call it Skyrim,
Dragon filled Whiterun with fright, I’m gunna find him,
Daedric on my back, attack, it’s time to slay him,
Dragon borne slayer comin at cha like a Thunderstorm.
Verse 2:
Wasn’t long before Companions made a wolf of me,
became, so much cooler than Edward ever could be,
Onto Pinemoon Cave, Vampire NPC,
Wolf and Vampire Hybrid like Underworld, G!
Too bad, so sad, the wolf, it’s got immunity,
Collect the dust from the vamps for use in alchemy.
Got my Dremora Lord in store for use to slice and dice,
It’s your weakness that he smells, that should make you think...
½ Time:
(Twice), so nice for me, when I found Firiniel’s End,
If I shoot you one time, we’ll prolly never be friends,
again, doing so much damage with daggers make you
stagger when I stab ya, perk of fifteen times damage, have your
head on a platter, when I slice you with my blade of woe,
I’m leavin trails of dragon bones, wherever I go,
Alduin, I’m comin for ya, Skyrim won’t be eaten by you,
The Dovahkiin’s comin, so whatcha gunna do?
Verse 2B:
I’m a Thane in 5 Cities, Lydia is so pretty, glori-
-fied pack mule, but a tank when I am needy,
Keeps my house nice and neat, when she’s not in Dragon’sReach,
Housecarl from the Jarl to the warrior elite.
Bridge:
(spoken)
Greybeard: Your Thu’um is strong Dovakiin, but you are not yet ready...
You must focus...
Your NAME is a shout.
Ho(s)-Shol-Lo
To Hear, the Sun, and Deceive...
Now, channel your Thu’um, and SHOUT!
(breathes in) HOS SOLO!
Verse 3
My patch, it is glitchin, backwards
flying dragons and floating flagons, dis-
patchin on every mission, the
glitches I’m just dismissin, I’m
fixin to change the defi-
nition of a killin clinician, I
do it every time with every single swipe!
Someone tell me why random people wanna hire,
me to do their every bidding, while I’m visiting their cities,
They constantly conspire, maybe cuz of my attire,
then I scare them with my candlelight, fright at night,
oh my!
Chorus with overlapping Dragon Shouts:
Joor-Zah-Frul
Yol-Toor-Shol
Liz-Slen-Nus
Su-Grah-Dun
Laas-Yah-Nir
Feim-Zii-Gron
Od-Ah-Ving
Fus-Ro-Dah (final echoes with thunder...)

Automaton Assault
Intro skit script:
A: I just finished up on the perimeter... EMPs are armed. Do you think it’ll be enough?
B: It’s gunna have to be. We’re running out of time.
A: Are we gunna make it out of here?
B (pause) I don’t know... I just don’t know.
Verse 1:
Traps are laid, ready to hold the plague, marring our
everyday, heads up on all displays, think it’s been
twenty days, since I saw the sun come up,
our lives erupted into catastrophic dismay. We
thought that they’d, supplement our lives and make em better,
instead they turned on us, using photoreceptors to intercept us
every time we’d try to get by, now it’s a
never ending struggle as we try to survive!
Chorus:
Was an instant infiltration, there was no negotiation,
hit us hard at every station, there was no discrimination, too...
many complications, broken down communication,
Tell me what’s the motivation for the robot invasion?
Verse 2:
Recharged fully every morning when it’s early,
sun rises in the east, from the east comes the fury,
Laser guided rifles, lasers and phasers and tasers
they use every tool to make us submit, and I admit
Mistakes were made, crusades to end us every day
blockades laid, seems we’ve overstayed our welcome on this
planet, once called earth. Now dust instead of dirt.
We cry out for help, but our screams are unheard...
Chorus:
Was an instant infiltration, there was no negotiation,
hit us hard at every station, there was no discrimination, too...
many complications, broken down communication,
Tell me what’s the motivation for the robot invasion? A
fixation on the automation, led to culmination of the
end of our civilization cuz of impatience, no...
chance of cohabitation, our limitations an irritation,
the population removed by robot insurrection...
Bridge Skit Script:
(outside, running footsteps, mechanical sounds)
Bot A: Alert, there are two humans making their way due east on foot.
A: Go! Now!
Bot B: Acknowledged. Unit 5, 7 of 9, lock on anti-personnel charges and fire.
Bot A: Acknowledged. Moving to comply. Lock on in 3, 2, 1...
A: (Arnold voice)Down! Get down! Do it now! (Explosion, falling debris)
Hos: That was way too close!
A: We need to find cover... come with me if you want to live.
Hos: Wait... what did you just say?
A: I said, come with me if you want to live.
Hos: (laughs) isn’t that just... a little bit ironic?
Verse 3
Plannin the escape, re-shaped what we take for granted
Now that there are lives at stake, SO in high demand of
breaks, that’ll shake, the invasion of the heavy-handed.
Candid is the face, full of fear, from the mirror staring
back. They attack... and so relentless, de
-fenseless we lack weapons to end this,
senseless collapse, mental lapse due to parallax,
…perplexed, and the masses can’t handle that.
Runnin from gutted complex into another shack.
_They’re gunnin for us, dawn to dusk, from light to black.
_ Can’t relax, grab a snack, sit back, fury’s
comin from the east, gotta be ready for that.
In my mind’s eye, on an island on the edge of time,
_Rewind, sippin pints with a hint of lime,
_now a leader or the rest of mankind, but
as long as we can fight, we will never die!

Media Sickness
by: Hos Solo
Verse 1:
Is your mind controlled? You been told what to think?
Quoted all the polls? Behold! They are the finks, as they’re
secretly winking at you behing nice suits they
move you dupe you into believing what they claim to.
Do you think for yourself? Or parrot talking heads who
increase their wealth, with every single word said, they
mold you, their agendas and biases unending,
lending, no thought to ever speaking the truth.
Do you think that Occupy has got nothing to say? Or
all that the Tea Party says is anti-gay? That Re-
publicans are greedy without regard for the needy? Or the
Democrats are hippies, all for socialist gimme’s?
I protest, this grotesque bias of the news, skewed
far to the left or the right is the accused. You’ve
abused the privelages granted to you by the Jews,
the news now editorial, so rarely the truth.
Chorus:
My mind has got media sickness, inclined to self-
ishness, can I get a witness, the masses are
witless, defined by their “rightness”, and never u-
nited, it’s time that we fight this, take back what is
righteous. A country divided, so sadly near-
sighted, so fully misguided, blind, leading the
blinded, a handful at the top, call the shots
elected by none, have we all become numb?
Verse 2:
Fox news has it all wrong, so does CNN, thoughts
lost to the bickering, a ticking time bomb, in the end.
The blast destroying the weak-minded,
zombified clones of demented kindred tyrants.
Our lines of information filtered hard before we view it,
Scooped quick by the few, so they quickly can skew it,
Like spiders spin their webs, the web’s even at risk, as the
Watchdogs be watchin, waggin fingers, tisk tisk. They per-
V2 cont’d:
(per) sist, and insist their views upon us all,
Bill O-Reilly? John Stewart? Rush Limbaugh? I’m appalled. You en-
thrall your audience with quick quips of insistence.
A hindrance to any compromise to end this
Endless debate over who’s “right” and who’s “wrong”,
Meanwhile, the problems are never getting solved, they’re just
piling on the already bloody floor of the oval office,
while congress get’s paid to take bribes from corporate lobbyists...
Bridge:
I wonder sometimes, should I support Anonymous,
righteous, protests, results of the civil unrest, due to the
useless acts restricting the arts of the masses.
Another division, obvious, between social classes.
If SOPA passes, riots likely to ensue. It’s
time the “leaders” listen to the people they eschew,
So listen up “leaders” , tell me whatcha gonna do, to
pursue the answers that we all demand of you.
Verse 3:
I’m tired of the hindrances, lining every sentence with
emphasis on change but denying all the substance when
all we hear is nothing in the end we all need something to
come to our defense, hear our voice and represent! We
elected you to lead, you neglect to fill our need, we
trust you with our money, you give in to corporate greed,
It’s time that you listen, make a mission to position yourself
in opposition to fake integrity!
End Quote:
“Ask not, what your government has done to you,
ask what you will do to your government!”

Bad Hair Day
by: Hos Solo
Verse 1: Lemme tell ya little story near and dear to my heart, there’s so
many bad examples, I dunnow where to start. Hard-
core disregard for what’s in style, perhap_ssss con-
sider my message delivered bold in all cap_sss...
You’ve_got_bad_hair, someone’s gotta say it, might
sound like a diss, but I swear it’s legit. You’ve got a
shaved head (yay), but only one dread (eww), if you’ve
got a shred of hope, gotta shed that doo... and you!
You’ve got a mullet, 10-90, ape drape, like a
redneck cape, your hair’s escapin from your face! You look
like Chuck Norris, alot like Zack Morris, a torrent
of dated forest flows away in disgrace.
Billy Ray Cyrus and Macguyver homozygous,
Business up front, party in the back, not stylish.
Duck Tails... ooo wooo ooo! Don’t braid it!
Rat tail’s a fail, yeah, socially abrasive...
Sorry ladies, but a bob ain’t cute, and neither
is a bleach blonde with the jet black roots, it’s a
bummer when you got a butt cut, or a skullet, like a
mullet, social plummet like an emo swoop. If you’ve
got a flock of seagulls frolickin on your noggin better (mine mine mine)
find yourself a barber. Falic Folicles are out man,
Crimps? More like a cabbage patch disaster, from
here on after, lay that style to pasture,
(1 Measure Breakbeat)
Chorus: Oh no, not another bad hair day...
Done it this way for years, don’t know no other way...
Verse 2: Now don’t
copy Rihanna, stay away from Madonna, steer clear (Mr. DJ... Vogue...)
of Lady Gaga, their styles? You don’t want em, got
lines in your sideburns? You’re name’s A-nilla Ice, mice
nest disguise implies you might have lice (ugh) Suff-
fice it to say Kid-n-play’s mad days have
surely gone away, just like teased up bangs, a milli-
gram of sense says if you’re bald, just shave it! Or
wear it like Picard, Patrick Stewart’s a pimp! Or
Soul-glo, jerry curl, greasy geek sheik, that’s
weak, get a faux hawk, and roll with me, but no
frosted tips, or I’ll call you Seacrest, you’ve got
no defense bro, you’re ugly condensed. A
poodle perm’ll land you on Legally Blonde with
Ammonium Thioglycolate you’ll look like the dog, or
maybe Michael Bolton, Weird Al, or Lionel Richie, maybe
MJ, or Bon Jovi, ooo! Or Kenny G!
(1 Measure Breakbeat)
Chorus: Chorus: Oh no, not another bad hair day...
Done it this way for years, don’t know no other way...
Verse 3: Oh

Beehive, streamline revive your design and lop the
Trump comb over AND the white boy knap, oh
snap! Not a Snookie Poof, I’m not down with that. OH
NO, not corn rows, mixed with a fro! Now
shave it off, maybe a Mohawk will go with the
little that’s left, bereft of any style, I
got it, dip your head in some acid and call it quits kid....
(1 measure breakbeat)
Chorus: Oh no, not another bad hair day...
Done it this way for years, don’t know no other way...

Sesquipedalian
by Hos Solo
Intro: Sesquipedalian - Characterized by the use of long words... long winded. In essence, words, or the use of words, that are too big for people to understand.
Verse 1:
What is your distress? Are you vexed? In torment? Can’t
find the right adjective to describe why you’re upset? Can
you not express, the excess, of your transgression? Confess.
Lack of intelligence apparent, no success. In
retrospect your lack of study buddies makes you ugly when you
speak. Realize a feeble mind is penalized without a-
cuity. _by not hangin with the geeks, lack of hum-
ility and mental inability indeed made you
weak. Verbal technique sweeps the demographic, you’re
static and vacant, habits forming peaks of medio-
crity. Logically_one might try to better themselves, ex-
ert to excel, _maybe even learn to spell. huh? Quell
the lies, all of those to which you’re subjugated, that
slang or text speech _somehow _can liberate us. I
know it’s likely that you didn’t follow a word of this,
verbal diss from Solo, vernacular whiz kid.
Chorus:
I know that I’m a little bit Sesquipedalian, I
speak like an alien, to minds like Planarians. Frus-
trated by arrogance, although it’s intelligence, I
won’t denounce my speech by a dumbed down society.
Verse 2:
Reading is an aptitude creating attitudes that lead to
opportunities, to achieve _proficiency in many
things. But sadly, like lemmings into the sea, the
geeks, they see them flee, on toward stupidity. In-
competency and ignorance are not a life sentence, in fact,
we’re gifted with abilities to create expertise,
but lack the drive, and power of will to thrive, and
cower until we die. Ignorance is bliss contrived by
Those unstable, or maybe not enabled to grasp the
concepts, so foreign, but never think to ask. The
answers are easily found if one would just search, but ex-
pect the worst, many not willing to research. Be-
smirched our namesake, yes, the human race. En-
lightened at one time, still discoveries await, but wait!
Jersey Shore is on! Can’t miss another episode.
Snooki the hero of those whose IQ is zero.
Chorus 2:
I know that I’m a little bit Sesquipedalian, I
speak like an alien, to minds like Planarians. Frus-
trated by arrogance, although it’s intelligence, I
won’t denounce my speech to a dumbed down society.
Pick up the pace kids, you’re losin the race gents, Ja-
pan is innovative cuz they value intelligence, so
step it up punks, cuz you sound like a you’re a bunch
of dunces, you know that Solo won’t pull his verbal punches...
Bridge:
Girl: So I was all like, OMG! Like no way, right? I LOL’d like SO hard! (giggles)
Boy: Yeah, heh heh. Like ROFL ROFL ROFL-copter
Girl: So then she was all, like, “What’s your deal?” and then I was all, “Whatever.” then she was like, “Step,” and then I was SO over it, so I left.
Boy: That’s hi-LAR-ious... Did you like go insane?
Girl: Totally, Facebook got LIT UP after that! They were all Trollin and hatin but I was still like “Whatever.” you know what I mean? You know what I’m sayin?
Boy: Yeah... dude, that’s awesome... So what do you want for your birthday?
Girl: I dunnow, anything but a book.
Boy: Facepalm! Duh, you already HAVE a book.
Girl: I know right?
Boy: So you know Keith? That geek dude from Biology? He showed me some kind of music called “Nerdcore”
Girl: Nerdcore? What’s it sound like?
Boy: I didn’t understand, like, any of it. It was like trying to listen to a reading assignment or something.
Girl: Lame...
Verse 3
I don’t blame the teachers, the task not theirs to bear,
the burden of shame is on parents, so unprepared. Make a-
bominable choices, then inflict them on their young, beat
their kids to neurosis, then they call them a punk!? _This is
not an excuse, yes, the cycle can end, friend.
Choose rational thought, then, the healing begins, mends the
fission configured to blister and hinder the whispers of the
river that never ends, then we can be friends again! Three
forms of the word their, and less of the word like. Go
frequent a book fair, and learn to be polite. If
truly you’re contrite, overwrite your damaged bites, that will
surely expedite, leaving shallowness behind! And
yes, I know at times, I feign superiority, due to my
abnormality and inability to tolerate things, but I’m a
geek, and truly, in the heart of me, I’m just
yearning for acceptance from all communities...
Chorus 3:
I know that I’m a little bit Sesquipedalian, I
speak like an alien, to minds like Planarians. Frus-
trated by arrogance, although it’s intelligence, I
won’t denounce my speech to a dumbed down society.
Pick up the pace kids, you’re losin the race gents, Ja-
pan is innovative cuz they value intelligence, so
step it up punks, cuz you sound like a you’re a bunch
of dunces, you know Solo won’t pull his verbal punches...
Outro:
Girl: It was like... intense, you know what I’m sayin?
Solo: Intense? (pause) a coffee from Starbucks?
Girl: Yeah, the most awesomest thing ever!
Solo: I’m... so confused...
Girl: You’re not very smart... are you?

Days Gone By
by: Hos Solo
Intro:
Seems so long ago, might have been another life,
All I had to do was grow, no pain, no strife, not
twice thinkin growing old would come as a surprise,
now I rise every mornin, in the mirror, some other guy. Re-
memberin when I was little and care free, never
had to worry when I took a pee on a tree, but now it
seems that I even worry when I’m asleep, takin
care of my family and makin the ends meet but I re-
member...
I remember...
Verse 1:
A: Saturday morning, build a fort out of cushions, watch my
toons, in my room, was immune to affliction, playin
Zelda always held a special place in my heart, the be-
ginnings of a gamer, Gold cartridge was the start, it im-
parted an adverturous feeling and I took part, stayin
out after dark, slaying monsters down at the park, I em-
barked on a quest __ I thought would never end, those
times were the best will they come back again? Now the
bills they pile up, all they want is my money, I look
down into my cup and it seems it’s all but empty, rat
race takes it’s toll, bosses cuttin payrolls, fillin
pockets that are already full, but with MY money, honey
don’t worry, it’ll be alright, we can make it, take my
hand, understand, that together we can face it.
_ Take a moment to remember better days cuz if you
let it, it’ll slowly eat you away, better remember...
Chorus:
(Remember... those days gone by)
I never thought that they would end but the time can’t bend back
(Remember... those days gone by)
I never thought that I’d forget what it’s like to be a kid
(Remember... those days gone by)
I never thought I’d reminisce about the time back when
(Remember... those days gone by)
Bring it all back, wanna be a kid again.
Verse 2:
Wasn’t one of those who growin up had it rough, both
parents, lots of love, I had all of the above, was en-
riched in the academics, top notch schools, not aff-
licted by the pandemic others endure, and after-
noon, I was picked up __ didn’t ride the bus, wasn’t
rich but, I was always given enough, had to
call the PS2 for Final Fantasy dibs, go hang
out with my friends, then come home for some din-din
Win-win, afterschool band made a love for music,
_a-men, cuz my church brought me closer to it
Now I’m lucky even if I know who’s on the radio, my
head in vertigo, who is Demi Lovato? Though
times are tough now, I try to stay proud, push
through the dark clouds, to find my way out.
_I take a moment to remember better days, if I
let it in my brain, it reminds me of the pain
I remember...
(Chorus)
Bridge (Sung):
Though these times are hard, I pretend... that I’m a child again.
Through playing games, and fantasies, I’ll remember when....
The times were easy, didn’t worry, and I was so carefree,
my life before me, nothin to stop me, yes, I remember when...
Bridge B:
Those days are gone, gone forever away.
The cards now dealt are the cards I must play. To-
day, I’m thankful for the past, so many didn’t have,
I know that there’s a future now that I alone can grasp.
A task that I can fulfill, what will I make of it?
Wallow in the guilt? and let it make me quit?
Sit in self inflicted agony because ot it? Or
push on and live and be what I’ve always wanted?
(Remember.. the days gone by... oh... oh....)
I’ll forever look back at the time, so alive, when my life, and my mind, it was totally mine.
(Remember.. the days gone by... oh... oh....)
The story never ends, new journies begin, keep the past close at hand, just like an old friend, and remember...
