Media Sickness

Verse 1:
Is your mind controlled? You been told what to think?
Quoted all the polls? Behold! They are the finks, as they’re
secretly winking at you behing nice suits they
move you dupe you into believing what they claim to.

Do you think for yourself? Or parrot talking heads who
increase their wealth, with every single word said, they
mold you, their agendas and biases unending,
lending, no thought to ever speaking the truth.

Do you think that Occupy has got nothing to say? Or
all that the Tea Party says is anti-gay? That Re-
publicans are greedy without regard for the needy? Or the
Democrats are hippies, all for socialist gimme’s?

I protest, this grotesque bias of the news, skewed
far to the left or the right is the accused. You’ve
abused the privelages granted to you by the Jews,
the news now editorial, so rarely the truth.

Chorus:
My mind has got media sickness, inclined to self-
ishness, can I get a witness, the masses are
witless, defined by their “rightness”, and never u-
nited, it’s time that we fight this, take back what is
righteous. A country divided, so sadly near-
sighted, so fully misguided, blind, leading the
blinded, a handful at the top, call the shots
elected by none, have we all become numb?

Verse 2:
Fox news has it all wrong, so does CNN, thoughts
lost to the bickering, a ticking time bomb, in the end.
The blast destroying the weak-minded,
zombified clones of demented kindred tyrants.

Our lines of information filtered hard before we view it,
Scooped quick by the few, so they quickly can skew it,
Like spiders spin their webs, the web’s even at risk, as the
Watchdogs be watchin, waggin fingers, tisk tisk. They per-

Bill O-Reilly? John Stewart? Rush Limbaugh? I’m appalled. You en-
thrall your audience with quick quips of insistence.
A hindrance to any compromise to end this

Endless debate over who’s “right” and who’s “wrong”,
Meanwhile, the problems are never getting solved, they’re just
piling on the already bloody floor of the oval office,
while congress get’s paid to take bribes from corporate lobbyists...

Bridge:
I wonder sometimes, should I support Anonymous,
righteous, protests, results of the civil unrest, due to the
useless acts restricting the arts of the masses.
Another division, obvious, between social classes.
If SOPA passes, riots likely to ensue. It’s
time the “leaders” listen to the people they eschew,
So listen up “leaders” , tell me whatcha gonna do, to
pursue the answers that we all demand of you.

Verse 3:
I’m tired of the hindrances, lining every sentence with
emphasis on change but denying all the substance when
all we hear is nothing in the end we all need something to
come to our defense, hear our voice and represent! We
elected you to lead, you neglect to fill our need, we
trust you with our money, you give in to corporate greed,
It’s time that you listen, make a mission to position yourself
in opposition to fake integrity!
